  • Liu Wenyi, a graduate of CAA’s School of Animation and Games, along with team members Lin Huiyu and Ying Langlang, collaborated with French sound artist Nicolas Martin and his team, with mixing by Chen Jiong Nian, to create the animated film “Fundus Disease”. This work won the gold award at 2024 CAA Graduation Season.

“Fundus Disease” draws inspiration from a photography technique known as “blurred focus”, where sharp imaging relies on a fixed focal length. When the distance between the camera and the object exceeds this focal length, the image becomes blurred, creating a “blurred focus” effect. This concept also has physiological counterparts, such as blurred vision and astigmatism, which serve as the foundational setting for the short film—depicting a character with a visual impairment.

In the short film, “fundus disease” extends beyond the visual to symbolize a state of being. The creation of the film was driven by the creator’s personal experience with illness, portraying the confusion and loss of self-identity that can result. As the character transitions to university life, their identity gradually shifts, and the influence and connection with their family background begin to fade, while they also face emotional conflicts and confusion brought abo

Jeremy Shu-How Lin (born August 23, 1988) is a Taiwanese-American[1][2] professional basketball player for the New Taipei Kings of the Taiwan Professional Basketball League (TPBL). He unexpectedly led a winning turnaround with the New York Knicks of the National Basketball Association (NBA) during the 2011–12 season, sparking a cultural phenomenon known as "Linsanity". Lin was the first American of Chinese or Taiwanese descent to play in the NBA, and is one of the few Asian Americans to have played in the league. He is the first Asian American player to win an NBA championship, having done so with the Toronto Raptors in 2019.

Born to a Taiwanese American family, Lin grew up in the San Francisco Bay Area and earned honors as a senior in high school. After receiving no athletic scholarship offers, he attended Harvard University, where he was a three-time all-conference player in the Ivy League. Undrafted out of college, Lin signed with his hometown Golden State Warriors in 2010. He
